This last week was all about extra hydrating layers. I've been enjoying the new Kahina Giving Beauty Oil Cleanser. I love their creamy cleanser and was super excited when they sent over this new one to play with. It has an amazing golden yellow hue. This is a traditional oil cleanser, you need a cloth to remove as it does not emulsify. This oil cleanser won 'Excellence in Green Beauty Award' by a Night for Green Beauty. It contains calendula (soothing), turmeric (anti-inflammatory), blue tansy (soothes, calms, reduces redness) & John's Wart (rich in flavenoids). It has a geranium & neroli scent. I tend to be more of a balm addict lately but this is definitely one of my favorite oil cleansers right now. More to come.
I grabbed a few things from Cocokind and I've been most addicted to the MYMATCHA All-Over Moisture Stick makes a delicious lip balm. It has three ingredients-coconut oil, beeswax & matcha powder. I love it the most as a chubby lip balm. I sometimes forget about my mini Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt cologne just because it gets hidden behind bigger bottles. It's really a great sea summer scent. I'm addicted to sea scents if you haven't figured that out by now. This has a light fresh aquatic feel to it. The notes are: Ambrette Seeds, Sea Salt & Sage. I'm a huge sage lover so that with sea salt has me hooked for life.
YOU Skincare is one of my favorite indie brands. The Moisture Replenishing Essence is one of my all time favorite products from the line. This light and slippery essence adds an easy layer of hydration. Aloe, thanakha, green tea, nettle, cucumber, horsetail & melissa leaf, sodium hyaluronate plus yucca vera extract. Review HERE. I've been totally loving the texture of this JULLAI Super 7 Moisture Hydrating Gel. It's got a bouncy light gel texture that hydrates without being heavy. This combines probiotics with it's Super 7 Complex-Quinoa Extract, Chia Seed Extract, Oatmeal Extract, Flowering Quince Extract, Pumpkin Seed Extract, Baobab Seed Extract, and Linseed Extract. More to come.
I was super excited to finally get the Ayuna Cream Rejuvenating Cream Light in my Beauty Heroes subscription box last month. I still continue to be impressed by this cream. It's light yet nourishing with probiotics, botanical cell factors and PHAs. It's a luxe multi-purpose cream designed to be your serum and cream in one. This cream has the most divine scent, I want it as a fragrance so I can douse myself in it. I talked about it HERE. Speaking of luxe I'm still super in love with the La Prarie Skin Caviar Essence-in-Foundation. It's so light yet it has amazing coverage plus it's got skincare benefits. I love the skin like finish and good longevity. I wear Satin Nude (seems dark but it lightens on the skin oddly). More to come this month it's my next foundation review.
I've also been loving the combo of mixing Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi with the new Omorovicza Complexion Perfector. I have shade Light which is a touch too pale for me and the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi manages to add enough warmth and deepen the too light shade to make it just right. I just reviewed D-Bronzi HERE and that's the main thing I love about it. It can take a winter foundation to a summer shade with ease. Omorovicza reformulated its Complexion Perfector and this new version is lighter. It's more skin like with a light foundation coverage. Less like a BB or CC cream as it felt before. I like this version better.
