It feels like forever since I've done a favorites post but there was no light for what felt like ages and life got in the way. I had so many items I wanted to cram into this photo so I had to restrain myself. The last week was super cold so I needed lots of barrier repairing products. I grabbed the LANEIGE Cream Skin Refiner after seeing it on Liah Yoo's Instagram page. This is a watery creamy essence that helps restore the skin barrier with amino acids from white tea leaf water. It's hydrating yet so thin. I love it. It really does add this nice extra layer of hydrating protection. I also appreciate that the scent is minimal. I use it as an essence but you can pour it onto cotton pads and use as a quick hydrating mask.
My eyes get extra dry in the winter and I love an eye balm. There's something so soothing about the extra comfort & moisture. Lately I've been into the AIKA TRI DOSHA Eye Balm. This bright yellow balm has mango butter, ghee, tamanu oil, shea butter, aloe, amla, gotu kola, turmeric, hibiscus and rose otto. It's got a buttery kind of oil balm texture that melts into the skin. I love the soothing, nourishing and calming ingredients. A unique balm. Speaking of balms my all time winter favorite is the African Botanics Intense Skin Repair Balm. This thicker balm will soothe any winter dryness or irritation and repair your skin overnight. It's a godsend in the winter and one of my most used balms. Review HERE.
I've been using my Fresh Sugar Face Polish a lot this winter. This polish combines brown sugar and strawberries for a decadent treatment. I apply this in the shower and let the steam sink it into my skin for fifteen minutes while I shave and use body scrub. When I rinse it my skin is so hydrated and just glowing. It's alike an instant radiance giver. The combination of hydrating sugar and exfoliating strawberries is genius. It will live in my shower forever and is my most repurchased skincare item ever. Review HERE. I'm new to exploring the Biologique Recherche line beyond Lotion P50. The Creme Mask Vernix can be used as both a treatment mask and night cream. I prefer it as a night cream. I grabbed a sample last September and was blown away. Its got a nice smooth creamy texture and it's phenomenal at repairing skin. If you have any kind of dryness, skin barrier issue or irritation this will fix it overnight. It's a miracle cream in a jar. More to come.
I grabbed a Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Water last year and finally pulled it out. This has steamed ginseng water concentrate to revitalize the skin. It's a thicker essence that has a gel appearance but it sinks into the skin like water. The scent is light and peasant. I really quite like it, plus the packaging is killer. I love dry shampoo. I only wash three times a week so I need this in-between to keep my roots form being greasy. I have a few things I want from my dry shampoo-be invisible, don't be too heavy or matte or powdery, have a low scent and work. The Kristin Ess Style Dry Reviving Dry Shampoo is phenomenal. One of the best I've tried. It's invisible, has a low scent, isn't too heavy matte or powdery and it actually leaves a silky feel to my hair. That's something new for a dry shampoo for me. Absolutely adore it. Will be repurchasing.
Lately I've been reaching for my Surratt Surreal Skin Foundation which gives the perfect amount of coverage while looking like skin. It requires no powder to set it and it looks incredibly natural. This foundation covers well while still being breathable and lets skin show through to look natural. I wear shade 6 right now which and review HERE. This is the foundation I come back to time & time again when I want flawless coverage with a skin like finish. I've really been loving the Zoeva Buffer Brush as a foundation brush. It's affordable and gives a non-streaky application. It works well with creams or liquids. I really love this brush as it does an amazing job. One of my favorite foundation brushes ever.
