This week I’ve really been focused on trying to finish a few favorites & of course play with a few newbies. It’s still warm and humid this week so I’m trying to use up my Allies of Skin Molecular Multi-Nutrient Day Cream. This is one of my all time favorite lightweight moisturizers. The texture is absolutely divine and it has a great inci list with antioxidants, hydrators and nutrients like honey, tamanu oil, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, probiotics, fermented black tea, phospholipids, ceramides, green tea and superoxide dismutase. It makes my skin just feel amazing and it’s never ever heavy. It just has a light nourishing texture. Review HERE.
I have been so into the Bella Aura Gravity Reverse Body Serum. The super light creamy emulsion was the perfect level of moisture for summer. Plus I adore the packaging it comes in. Such a cool shape. I loved how hydrating this was yet it was not greasy or sticky even in the Texas summer heat & humidity. It has South African Bulbine Frutescens (Stalked Bulbine) leaf juice which supposedly helps the appearance of cellulite. I will say my skin felt firmer, moisturized and more elastic but honestly nothing will help my cellulite at this time. So that being said I still really adored the texture and it’s lovely. I’ve been really reaching for Omorovicza Hydra Melting Cleanser all week for some reason. I love it’s slightly herbal earthy scent combined with the gel-oil balm texture. It’s really perfect for a morning cleanse. The teal color is also quite stunning. It has sea buckthorn (antioxidant), mallow (soothe) & sage/chamomile/rose geranium (astringent properties). One of my favorite night cream discoveries this year is the Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask. It’s not something I would have thought to pick up but I loved the wash off version so I went for it after testing the texture in New York earlier this year. I was blown away by how good it is. It feels like a thicker gel cream but yet it’s refreshing and not heavy or oily. It really hydrates & lasts all night giving you a super supple, hydrated, glowing complexion in the morning. I’ll be talking about it more coming up. One of my favorite hair discoveries this year was Hair by Sam McKnight. I completely adore the Cool Girl and Lazy Girl products. Lazy Girl is their dry shampoo. It has such a light texture to it which is what I like. It’s not too heavy on the powder nor too drying. It gives a lighter effect for a dry shampoo which is something I prefer. I’m not into the really heavy powdery ones. If you like mega volume or heavier powder ones you may not like this one but if you want a dry shampoo that’s got a next to nothing feel in the hair check this one out.
I’ve been reaching for my Decorte Cream Blush Moisturizing Cheek Glow in Be350 all week. I love it’s bouncy airy texture plus I really enjoy a satin-matte cream blush. The nude pink shade is my favorite of the two I picked up. Review HERE. Lovinah just launched a cleansing balm. You all know how much I love cleansing balms. Power Cleansing Balm has the most delicious berry color. It’s a balm to milk so it does emulsify to rinse clean. This balm has lingonberry, chokecherry, cloudberry, black currant, arctic cranberry, bilberry & vitamin C. It has a lighter balm texture so it’s not a really heavy feeling cleansing balm. It turns into an oil quickly on the skin. I can see me crushing on this one hard.
Victoria Beckham Beauty is all over Instagram right now. I grabbed two pieces but only got Lid Lustre in Mink first so I haven’t gotten to try the quad yet. That’s my goal next week. I was thinking Mink would crease in an instant and be too glittery for me. This cream shadow is extremely pigmented. That’s one swipe on my arm. Seriously the pigmentation couldn’t be better. I was actually surprised how long it took for it to crease as well. It lasted the whole work day just fine. I only noticed creasing before bed. So maybe a good eight hours of almost no creasing. It also doesn’t feel too creamy or sticky on the lid. The silver sparkle is plentiful but it’s definitely a grown up sparkle. It’s intense but doesn’t have fall out. That’s important to me. The no fall out and longevity combined with the pigmentation is what made this a win for me.
