Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

This week it finally started to cool down here. I've talked about the new Kate Somerville Kx Actives Concentrates Ceramides + Omegas Serum in the past but I decided to finally start layering it on daily to see if it will help keep my skin from freaking out with the weather switch. This is a liquid slightly creamy serum textures barrier repair product. Most the ones I've used like this have been almost creams or heavier creamy serums. This one is so easy to layer. It layers beautifully with everything, no pilling at all. It's instant love. It has ceramides and Bio-active Phyto-omegas plus anti-inflammatory/soothing Tasmanian Pepperberry. This will be a repurchase easy.

Skinbetter Science also brought out a new more hydrating cream this year. I'm a fan of their InterFuse Cream which is light and silky making it perfect for summer. The Trio Rebalancing Moisture Treatment is a medium weight cream perfect for cooler weather. It's got a nice fragrance free, soothing feel. It helps to restore the skin barrier with natural moisturizing factors and ceramides. This is the heaviest and most restoring yet it's actually not heavy in weight or greasy at all. It just has a nice creamy feel. I picked up Playa Pure Dry Shampoo as I was running low on two of my other bottles. I wanted to branch out a little and see if I could find another one I liked. I adore the Playa 'beachy' scent with black coconut, orange blossom, sandalwood & pacific musk. This one leaves no white residue and it's not heavy in the powdery feel. That's the kind of dry shampoo I like. I'm not a fan of the really heavy powder formulas. If you like the heavier kinds this one might not be for you. But if you like light and refreshing to give a pick me up between washes without a white residue or heavy feel, you'll like this one.

One of my all time favorite lightweight oils is Twelve Beauty Intelligent Frontier Facial Oil. This manages to nourish and hydrate while remaining feather light. If you were ever afraid of heavy facial oils this is one to look at. Pedro's formulations are always top notch. This is in my top three favorite lightweight facial oils ever. I need it in my arsenal always. Review HERE. Ormonde Jayne Tolu has been one of my longest favorite scents. It's light and warm with Peruvian Tolu resin, golden frankincense and amber. It's utterly divine and one of my all time favorite scents ever. I talked about it HERE.

Makeup wise I sadly finished my Sisley primer so now I'm moving onto my next favorite Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow. This has a nice soft champagne glow shimmer that's subtle yet blurring. I love the silicone free light gel base as it's perfect for the heat and humidity out here without adding heaviness. It also makes a nice light moisturizing base allowing makeup to go on smoothly. Review HERE. Rituel de Fille Rare Light Luminizer in Phosphene is seriously my all time favorite creamy highlighter. It's completely amazing. The perfect creamy but not too greasy nor dry texture. The shade is an illuminating complex pinky beige. It's perfection for light to medium skin tones. This has been my most reached for highlighter for the last three years. It's just total perfection in every way. Review HERE.

I did get two new things this last week. I grabbed the Tom Ford Soleil Neige Highlighter & Blush Glow Stick in Megeve. Megeve is a creamy rose nude blush with a rosy champagne highlighter. The shades are pretty pigmented, creamy and easy to apply and blend. They don't dry down a lot but they're not super greasy either. It's on the more high creamy emollient end of how I like my creamy blushes but it doesn't cross the line to be too much. I received some items from Dear Dahlia. I normally hate liquid matte lip color. However I am completely blown away by the Paradise Dream Velvet Lip Mousse. Guava is this nice light peachy coral pink. This has an almost bouncy, powdery, velvet texture to it. The effect isn't really pigmented and harsh like most, it's got a soft focus effect which I love. It's not overtly drying either, it has a hint of moisture to it to some degree. I really need shade Teddy ASAP.
