Current Favorites & Product Obsessions

This week I had quite a few new discoveries plus found a few old favorites. Charlotte Tilbury launched a new Pillow Talk shade of her Beauty Light Wand. The Beauty Light Wand is a really light almost gel like textured highlighter. It's really a beautiful formulation. It blends into the skin wonderfully and looks so natural. This new Pillow Talk shade is more of a light rose gold than the original version which was more champagne. This one fits my skin tone to a T. It just looks like glistening skin versus having an actual highlighter on. It's only available on her website right now. I do wish they would get rid of the unhygienic sponge applicator but it doesn't keep me from buying or using it. Review of the original launch HERE. I've been loving Westman Atelier since its launch and been wanting to try the Eye Love You Mascara since it came out. This is a clean mascara meant to give volume and gloss to your lashes, It's got a nice teddy bear old fashioned wand which I adore. I rarely like the newer silicone versions. I find this formulation glossy, very black & volumizing. The packaging so so uber luxe I love it. Overall it's exactly what I wanted it to be.

I just discovered Aislin Quinn skincare recently. The Wailele Phytoactive Hydration Essence has been a really lovely product so far. Y'all know I'm obsessed with essences and this one is quite amazing. It's got a light slippery hydrating texture and an impressive inci list. This essence has a multi-focal approach with hydration, regeneration, brightening and micro-exfoliation. It's got dragonfruit, aloe, coconut water, bamboo, bioavailable hyaluronic acid, sea fennel, kiwi, ginger, hibiscus, marshmallow, helichrysum & niacinamide. The scent is light, sweet and warm. I always love Naturallogic but the Elemental Advanced Hydration Red Wine Essence is easily one of my favorite products they make. It's lightweight and hydrating with red wine, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, panthenol & red algae. If you're an essence fan or love the idea of red wine which has AHAs, polyphenols, resveratrol & gluconic acid to stimulating collagen, brighten, smooth texture & fight free radicals.

With all the warm humid weather lately I've been spritzing on Ava Luxe Black Coconut. This is a warm, sweet and boozy coconut. It's a very small production so you have to email I guess to buy one now. I adore the spray and get compliments all the time on this one. I'm always looking for the next good vitamin C serum. I really like 15% ascorbic acid minimum solution with vitamin E and ferulic acid. This Skin Deva 20% Vitamin C + E has a 20% concentration of ascorbic acid. It's super lightweight and sinks in quickly. Plus it's really affordable. It does oxidize quickly like any ascorbic acid solution but the effectiveness and price point make it worth it. Seriously this is one worth checking out.

DAFNA's Recovery Cleanser is a gel-oil balm to milk cleanser that has the most gorgeous whipped thick gel texture. I tried DAFNA's years back but they're not readily available in the US so I haven't gotten into them as much as I wanted to. They're now on thecleanbeautybox.com so I plan to explore the range more. I adore gel-oil balm cleansers they're pretty much my favorite type of cleanser ever. They work great in the morning or can take off makeup at night or even be the second part of a double cleanse. This one does emulsify to rinse clean. It has a gorgeous orange color to match its lovely texture. It smells like pink grapefruit even though that's not one of it's ingredients (citrus oil gives it the scent). It's got moringa, olive and bamboo oils, combined with calendula and sage extracts. I adore NIOD. It's my favorite Deciem brand. The Neck Elasticity Catalyst was not something I ever thought about trying but I'm so glad I did. It has a multi-focal approach with pro-elastin technology, anti-elastase (enzyme that breaks down elastin) while caffeine, carnitine & ginger to increase the look of skin density. The texture of this stuff takes a while to get used to. It's got a thick gel that's almost whipped. It's not heavy and has a bit of a silicone texture from the dimethicone crosspolymer and other similar style ingredients it has. Oddly for having that texture it doesn't pill at all. I've never once had it pill, The best part is it's actually working. I've noticed a difference in my neck lines and how they're softening a bit.

Top to Bottom-Charlotte Tilbury, NIOD, DAFNA's:

*NIOD, Skin Deva, Westman Atelier gifted but all thoughts are my own.
