This week I have a lot of old favorites & a few new discoveries. In the summer I always love a cream blush. The MAC Glow Play Blush has a bouncy texture. I love the cream blushes that have a less oily or emollient texture as they last longer. This one and sets down to a satin matte finish. Blush, Please is a nude pink which tends to be my favorite shade. This one is buildable and moderately pigmented. I also love a cream eyeshadow in the summer. By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon is the ultimate beast summer shade. Or year round shade. I love a shimmery neutral bronze brown. What I love about this one is that it’s pigmented and it lasts all day, no creasing or fading. And it’s not sticky on the lids, like many other stick eyeshadows, even in high heat and humidity. Byredo Oliver Peoples was my first Byredo scent. Sadly limited edition and not around anymore, though this is still one of my favorites. The heart highlights iris and patchouli, while the base provides depth and warmth to aromas of sand, musk and immortelle. This is one of those woody, sea scents with a hint of citrus. Notes: Top notes: juniper berries, California lemon; Middle notes: orris butter, patchouli fraction; Base notes: musk, warm sand accord, helichrysum.
Acaderma launched a new toner. Equilibria is a light slippery hydrating toner than can also be used as an essence. It’s fragrance and alcohol free. It has hyaluronic acid, MSM and prebiotics. This is great at replenishing and balancing the skin. It has plant derived fructooligosaccharides and N-acetyl glucosamine. Easily one of my favorite toner or essence launches in a while. Klairs Mid Day Blue UV Shield is a recent launch. I love the Soft Airy Essence sunscreen so I’m not surprised this one is amazing as well. This is a mineral sunscreen that’s alcohol free. It has a hint of fragrance but it’s negligible honestly. This is invisible on my skin, no white cast. It’s not greasy or heavy at all, plus it’s not drying, even for a mineral sunscreen. It has guaiazulene a derivative of azulene to soothe. Azulene comes from chamomile oil. I’ve really been enjoying this one.
Biologique Recherche is definitely one of my favorites. In the summer I love Creme Biofixine instead of Creme Masque Vernix. This one is a great all around anti-aging cream with a medium weight texture. It’s a little pricey but it’s definitely one of my favorites cream wise. I’ve been using this one a lot this week. Review HERE. I love a gel oil balm and Omorovicza Hydra Melting Cleanser is one of my all time favorites. It’s light and great in the summer. It clarifies with camphor and rosemary plus mallow soothes. It has a blue tint from the copper that helps balance excess sebum. Review HERE. This goes from balm, to oil to milk and rinses clean. Makes a great morning cleanser. Fresh Beauty makes the best lip balms. Hydrating & nourishing while still being light. My ultimate favorite version is the original Sugar Lip Treatment. It has SPF and is non-tinted. They have amazing tinted shades as well. It’s truly one of the best lip balms out there. Allies of Skin Molecular Multi-Nutrient Day Cream is super lightweight and perfect for summer and warmer weather. It has antioxidants, hydrators & nutrients. It’s got honey, probiotics, niacinamide, plant stem cells & green tea. I’m on my second tube. I love the airless tube style pump. Review HERE.
