L to R: ORIBE Split End Seal, Leonor Greyl Serum de Soie Sublimateur, ORIBE Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream:

I started with ORIBE’s Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream first. It’s a heavier style glossing serum/cream. It is lighter weight than the original Supershine cream. This will make your hair glossy and sleek. It leaves a bit of a sticky, heavier feel behind. That’s the main reason I stopped using these types of glossing serums and go for lighter style serums now. While $52 is pricey you do get a large 5 oz tube which will last a long time as you only need a touch.

Next I grabbed ORIBE’s Split End Seal. This is a lighter style serum. It absorbs almost fully just leaving behind hydrated ends with a hint of shine. I thought this was a pleasant serum. It was light and just enough without being as heavy as Supershine Light. I never used this everyday so it’s hard to say if everyday use really does reduce split ends as it claims. For $48 for 1.7 oz it’s a bit on the high pricey end for a hair serum. Both of the ORIBE serums have the traditional ORIBE scent which is pleasant and light.

Lastly I grabbed Leonor Greyl’s Serum de Soie Sublimateur. Though it looks thicker in texture than the other two, it’s actually pretty light. It hydrates with a light glossy sheen that absorbs fairly well. I liked this one the most of all of them. It has more of a natural hair hydration feel and less of a slippery silicone feel like the other two ORIBE serums. Leonor Greyl is a French brand so her stuff is pretty highly fragranced which I don’t like. However, this serum isn’t scented that strong. It’s $46 for 2.5 oz.

All three of these serums are luxe and high priced for what they are–a hair serum. If you feel like an overpriced hair serum, Leonor Greyl is my pick of the three. I find myself using more hydration sprays lately than serums.
