I've been using OSKIA skincare for a few years, I'm a big fan of most of their products. I grabbed the Micro Exfoliating Balm last year. Details per Beauty Bay:
Oskia Micro Exfoliating Balm is a natural exfoliator which nourishes and refines the complexion.
Cleverly formulated to buff away tired skin cells and daily impurities whilst nourishing and softening the skin, Micro Exfoliating Balm restores radiance, health and vitality to the complexion. Luxuriously rich and creamy, this skin refining polish is packed with Micro Silica and Pure MSM (Organic Sulphur) Granules which eliminate dead skin cells, unclogs pores and dissolves on contact with water to smooth and soften the skin.
Zinc Glycine Complex purifies the skin and supports natural healing whilst soothing and reducing redness and irritation as Vitamin A derived from Rosehip Seed Oil rejuvenates skin cells and collagen production.
Suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive, dry or mature complexions, Micro Exfoliating Balm is also rich in Omegas 3 & 6 which increase moisture levels and restore softness and elasticity to the skin for optimal complexion comfort. The rich balm becomes soft, light milk in contact with water; it can also be adapted to become as strong or as weak as you desire, just by adding water.
The Micro Exfoliating Balm is a thick oil based cleansing balm with a smooth micro scrub embedded in it. It has a very light sent, typical of OSKIA products. Nothing offensive or irritating. I found it best to massage the balm into my skin to remove makeup then rinse with water. I also found that rinsing with water alone does not remove all of the product, there is some oil residue left over. I liked double cleansing after using this to remove the last of that residue.Â
This is not a drying cleanser at all. I also found the scrub beads to be not harsh making it good for all skin types. My skin feels baby soft after using. The package is a wide mouth glass jar. The retail is about $54. I like cleansing balms or oils separate from scrubs for various reasons. Only for that reason would I probably not grab this again. It's great otherwise. If you want to save a step and get both an oil balm cleanse and scrub natural exfoliant in one, this is for you.
