Tom Ford Cheek Color Inhibition: Review & Swatches

Tom Ford recently reformulated it’s blushes. They also added three new shades. I grabbed Inhibition a nude pink. Details per Nordstrom:

What it is: A sumptuous powder blush that delivers layers of possibility, from a sexy glow to a more dramatic, color-rich look.
What it does: Symmetrical, sculpted cheekbones are vital to creating the Tom Ford look. Formulated with spherical pearls and rich emollients, this cheek color glides onto your skin with the comfort of a cream, achieving outstanding luminosity and a velvety transparency.

The new formula is amazing. It’s thinner, less powdery. It’s incredibly pigmented. This applies well, it blends like a dream. Use a wispy, less dense brush for application. Start light and build for more intensity. I used a denser brush first time I tried this and that was a mistake. This is so pigmented it can be overdone quickly. It lasts all day and is a fabulous blush formula. For $60 it should be.

Inhibition is a medium nude pink with a hint of shimmer in the pan. The shimmer does not show on the cheeks, it looks matte applied. Inhibition is exactly the shade I was wanting in Tom Ford’s original blush release. It may not be really unique or bright but Inhibition is a great staple nude with a fabulous formula. A necessary part of any collection.
