Some Current Favorites

Happy Sunday. Here are a few things I have been reaching for a lot the last two weeks:

Tom Ford Cheek Color Inhibition. Fabulous formula, finally that perfect daily use nude pink I always wanted from Tom Ford. Review and swatches here.

Wayne Goss The Air Brush. I use this almost everyday. I don’t use it if I use a cream highlight, but if I go for powder, this brush is it. The tapered tip makes for precise placement of highlighter. It also allows you to start light and build for more intensity due to it’s wispy feel. A staple. Review here. Currently sold out as it’s limited edition. I hope one day it will be permanent.

Dior Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer 02. Such a pretty pink champagne highlight with a fabulous lightweight texture. This one packs a punch. Review shortly.

Biologique Recherche Lotion P50. I don’t know why I stayed away from buying this toner forever. I finally caved and I’m so happy I did. I see why it has a cult following. My skin has looked amazing since starting it. I have a hard time getting past the vinegar smell, but for the results I overlook it. It’s not cheap, but when something works well… Review will be coming in the next few weeks. I want to use it a bit longer before I make a full review.

SUQQU Extra Rich Cream Foundation 203. Such a fabulous formula. Lightweight for a cream style foundation. It’s not heavy or greasy like typical cream foundations. It covers so well, yet can be sheered out for a medium coverage that stays moist all day with a satin finish. Review on that one coming soon.

Surratt Large Classic Shadow Brush. I use this everyday. It’s the perfect lay down brush for me. Sturdy enough to lay down enough pigment, yet light enough to not be heavy handed. The pointed tip makes for a more precise application. I cannot put into words how much I love this brush. Review here.

SUQQU Spring 2017 Designing Color Eyes Palette 01Yuushakuyaku. A pigmented shimmery cool taupe palette. Very similar to now discontinued Kozuecha. At first I was disappointed as the shimmer isn’t as complex as SUQQU normally is, but it’s actually performed quite well. I’ll be talking about this one shortly in a review. Getting it in stock on Selfridges.com is a whole other post.

  1. I wish the new suqqu palette 01 was really similar to the dc 10 (that is still my favorite). I'm really disappointed with the new eyeshadow line. I have 2 palettes and they seen obvious on my eyes. Won't purchase other quads until something really special comes out.
