I feel like I always have to grab something from the Tom Ford Summer Soleil Collection. This year I grabbed the Ultra Shine Lip Color in Delectable, Lumiere Lip & Lip Color Sheer in Nudiste. While the other items looked really nice I haven't been into that bright of shades lately.
The Summer Soleil comes packaged in white cases which always seems to be popular. Most items tend to be limited edition from the summer collection.
Remote private islands where summer lasts all year and one day seamlessly blends into the next inspire the TOM FORD Soleil Collection, a sensuous series of bronzers, highlighters, and skin care designed to illuminate summer.
"Sunkissed skin with a hint of color has a powerful simplicity that is effortlessly stunning."—TOM FORD
Lumiere Lip. Details per Sephora:
A hydrating, translucent balm that reacts to reacts to your pH, creating a customized color for instantly luminous lips.
This lip balm creates naturally-enhanced lip color, and contains hyaluronic acid for a voluminous look. The universally-flattering balm reacts to each individual wearer’s pH, creating a customized color based on their natural undertones. The bright, translucent papaya shade transforms into a personalized tint of subtle color with worship-worthy glow. Formulated with antioxidants and natural plant extracts that soften, moisturize, and condition, Lumière Lip is your new go-to for fresh-, full-, and flushed-looking lips.
This balm is the ultimate luxe meets summer lip balm. This smells like vanilla, has a light peachy coral tint and feels divine on the lips. I loved the nice buttery balm texture. This doesn't change into a deep color for me like I expected it to. Most of these lip changing colors turn into a deep fushia shade on me. This one stayed a light peach orange. It really didn't change that much on me. Just a hint. I'm sure this will look different on everyone.
The Ulta Shine Lip Color has been reformulated. Details per Sephora:
A lightweight, high-shine, intensely-pigmented lip formula. Glossy, creamy and addictive, this innovative lip formula combines three lip musts—the easy, one-stroke application of a lipstick, the high-shine gleam of a lip gloss, and the rich emollient of a lip balm. Featuring lightweight silica powders for all day shine, the unique combination of esters and polymers ensure even, glossy application, while polyethylene wax gives a lightweight, conditioned feel.
The new formula is less buttery and glossy. It's still glossy but not high shine. This new version is also thinner in texture and more pigmented. Overall I find it really comfortable to wear. It delivers a pigmented lip with a creamy glossy hydrating finish. The old version is a sheer glossy buttery formula that's more balm like. The new one is a creamy hydrating more pigmented style lipstick.
I grabbed Delectable which is a cool light rose. No shimmer. I wasn't sure what to expect I thought maybe this was the same formula in white tubes. So I skipped Bare and Nubile which is normally my favorite two shades in the old formula. I'm going to have to grab those two shades now that I know it's different and see how they compare. I would love to see Tom Ford expand this shade range including shimmers. It's a really nice formula.
The Lip Color Sheer is one of my all time favorite lipstick formulas from the Tom Ford range. I grabbed Nudiste. Details per Sephora:
A sheer lip color that delivers a lustrous sheen to compliment sunkissed, summer skin. Let lips gleam with Lip Color Sheer. It's infused with a decadent blend of vitamins C and E and shea butter to saturate your lips with moisture. Its distinct, beveled, bullet is designed with a retro-chic, ivory- and gold-colored TOM FORD case.
Nudiste is a shimmering rose gold nude. It's what I wanted Spanish Flame to be. I love the Lip Color Sheers. It's a sheer range but still pigmented enough. These smell like vanilla and keep my lips hydrated and happy all day. I find this formula to be comfortable and sheer shimmers are my favorite type of lipstick. It's not glossy like a balm, but it's more than a satin. It's just a lovely sheer lipstick formula. I reviewed it HERE. Nudiste is definitely my number one pick of the three.
