If you've followed me for any length of time you know I live for cleansing gel-oil balms. These oil-gel hybrid cleansers do it all. They take off makeup like an oil then emulsify to rinse away clean. I've actually got a round up post about some of my favorites HERE. However I thought I would highlight my Top 3 as part of this series. I've been a long time fan of the OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel for many years. This is an award winning cleanser for a reason-It's phenomenal. This pinky peach oil based gel removes all makeup and leaves your skin silky soft. It has pumpkin enzymes, vitamins A, C & E, starflower oil and MSM. This cleanser really gives your skin a renewed or rejuvenating look and feel. It rinses mostly clean with water but there is a bit of leftover residue. You can always follow with a toner or use a flannel if you wish. It never strips the skin and just gives you that revitalized look. It smells heavenly as well.
Jordan Samuel Skin recently came out with a sensitive skin version of The After Show Treatment Cleanser. This one has such a nice thick gel texture. It also removes all makeup and doubles as a hydrating mask. You can put it on then jump in the shower after letting it sit for a bit. It will emulsify and rinse clean. The new sensitive version doesn't have the possible irritants like citrus oils that the original does. Either version is fabulous. The sensitive version has aloe, green tea, chamomile, olive, grape & jojoba oils. Review of the original HERE. The texture of this gel-oil balm is amazing. I love the firm, thick gel texture. The original version has citrus oils, willow bark and some essential oils. It's more exfoliating while the sensitive one is purely cleansing and hydrating with antioxidants. I like both as I'm not sensitive and both versions are equally good. It's very affordable and worthy of trying if you like cleansing oil balms.
Omorovicza repackaged their Hydra-Melting Cleanser into a pump and it was a huge improvement. It's easily one of my favorites now. This stunning blue hued cleanser is light on the oils in comparison to the other two. It still removes makeup but I really like this one as a morning or second cleanse. This one is great at balancing the skin as it has some antiseptic essential oils like sage, rosemary, rose geranium & roman chamomile. It does have a more earthy aroma and is the strongest scent wise of the three (though it's not that strong). This cleanser also has soothing mallow and antioxidant rich sea buckthorn oil. You can check out the full review HERE. I love all three of these as morning cleansers, the OSKIA and Jordan Samuel Skin are the best at removing makeup. OSKIA is the rejuvenator, Jordan Samuel Skin is perfect for sensitive skin and Omorovicza is great for purifying or people who want a less oily type of gel-balm cleanser. I would easily repurchase all three. I'm on tube two of the Omorovicza and Jordan Samuel Skin and easily on tube five or more of the OSKIA.
