I just went through my favorite mineral and chemical sunscreens this week so I wanted to add on my favorite other random types of sunscreens. These are body ones, combination or hybrid filter ones and ones for touching up during the day. Body wise Make P:rem UV Defense me. Blue Ray Sun Fluid has easily been my favorite for both Ella and I for three years. It's a fluid mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast. It's fragrance and alcohol free. What I love about it is the easy light silky fluid texture, plus it's non greasy. Your skin doesn't feel greasy or heavy after, it just feels silky and it sets fast. I can apply it without any fussing from her as it doesn't need excessive rubbing in the application, which is much appreciated. It does have a technology to help reduce heat from IR so supposedly it helps reduce surface heat on the skin, I don't buy it for that reason but I do like that aspect. It's also a huge bottle for a good price so it lasts all summer for us. I have repurchased 4x so far and will continue to do so. Review HERE.
A new body one for us is by EVY Technology. I pictured the kid version of the SPF 50 Sunscreen Mousse but I enjoy the regular Sunscreen Mousse 50 as well. They're interchangeable for me really. The kid version is just slightly tackier but it's pretty negligible. I love this as body sunscreen for both of us as it has technology that supposedly lasts six hours without the need to reapply. It's also water resistant unlike the Make P:rem. This one does take more work to rub into the skin but she does find it fun as it's a mousse so it's been tolerable to use on her. You need to plan to work fast rubbing it on, so I suggest covering small areas at a time. I like the ability to not have to reapply, so I put this on and we can go out to the zoo or spend the day outside and feel protected. I have not tested this during full on sunny beach in the water style fun, but for regular basic day out fun I can say we don't burn at all while using this and not reapplying.
Heliocare Age Active Fluid is my favorite hybrid sunscreen (hybrid mineral and chemical). It has a light fluid texture and a hint of a tint. It has no white cast on me at all. I absolutely adore how fluid and light it is. It has no alcohol and light fragrance. Heliocare tends to have a light banana scent to it, I like it. It's just such an enjoyable sunscreen texture wise. It's never heavy or greasy but also not drying. Motre satin finish. Love it and I would 100% repurchase this again. While I'm not great at reapplying sunscreen during the day, Skinbetter Sunbetter Tone Smart SPF 68 Compact does the best job of any I've tried to date. It's a tinted mineral compact that allows for easy portability. It matches my skin tone well. I don't like it for full on regular coverage but I love it for a little tint/skip foundation style or as reapplying in the day. It fits in my purse and it's easy to dab on. It has a silky feel to it that's never heavy nor greasy. It does have silicones but it honestly is so light it doesn't feel like it does. It doesn't add weight or feel greasy on the skin, just silky.
