February Samples & Empties

Time for the February Samples & Empties Post. Quick thoughts about each starting above.

EVE LOM Time Retreat Hand Treatment: I adore this stuff. It's a hero product for sure. This retinol treatment I use on the back of my hands at night only and in four days it changed the texture of my skin. I am on my second tube. Review HERE.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate Glow Moisturizer: I really wanted to love this. It's a nice thin textured cream that has a citrus scent. I just found it really hard to work into a routine regularly. This contains AHA and as I use an acid toner or serum daily it was too hard to think about removing one or the other. This is probably best for a person who wants a minimal routine and not use a bunch of separate products. I ended up using it on my arms and it was nice to exfoliate them, just pricey when Paula's Choice can do the same for cheaper. Not a repurchase for me.

NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 1.00%: So I stopped using this after it was gone as I didn't want to be a believer it did anything. However, that next week I got a huge hormonal chin breakout of which I'm still recovering from the scars. I bought version number two the next week and my next monthly cycle left me with no hormonal breakouts. I have actually had no hormonal breakouts of any kind since using this product. I'm now a believer. It may not do much else beyond speed wound healing and balance the skin. That's enough for me. More to come.

Herbivore Coco Rose Body Polish: Love this stuff. You see an empty every month in these posts. Hero product. Review HERE.

Alpha-H Age Delay Hand & Cuticle Cream: Love this stuff. This is my fourth tube maybe? Very thick and the hydration lasts all night long. It's really good for a night hand cream. Uses glycolic acid to help exfoliate as well. Review HERE.

African Botanics Nutritive Molecule Serum: I loved this stuff. Beyond expensive but it was so good. I'm saving my thoughts for the review coming.

OSKIA Renaissance Mask: This is my holy grail mask. This acid mask exfoliates gently without drying the skin. I've gone through more pots that I can count. This might be number five. Review HERE.

Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream: This was OK. Nice hydrating body cream. Smells like vanilla cake. I don't care enough about it to buy it again.

eos Shave Cream Vanilla Bliss: I love this stuff. It's affordable. Creamy and hydrating. Review HERE.

Huxley Cleansing Gel: I liked this gel cleanser inci wise and texture wise. The scent was so strong though. So I ended up re-purposing this to being a body wash. Review HERE.

Ogx Biotin & Collagen Conditioner: This was nice. It's affordable. Creamy & light. I would probably repurchase.

Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream: This was thicker and hydrating. Has a bit of a medicinal scent. I didn't really like it as a face cream. The texture wasn't for me.

Kat Burki Body Butter: I love Kat Burki and all her delicious products. Love the cucumber scent and hydrating body cream texture. This isn't a greasy or really heavy body butter which I love.

Origins Original Skin Cleansing Makeup Removing Jelly: I liked this gel oil balm. It was nice. I would consider buying a big one.

HURRAW! Sun Balm: I love HURRAW! lip balms. They're cheap and made in MT (one of my homes for a while). This one has sunscreen in it. I will say I let these two go bad before I could use them up. The sunscreen part makes them turn faster than the ones without. Coconut is my all time favorite. I talked about it some HERE.

Origins Ginzing Gel Moisturizer: I love the orange citrus scent of this lightweight gel hydrator. The scent really picks you up. It's a lightly hydrating gel.

Chantecaille Flower Harmonizing Cream: I liked this light creamy moisturizer.

Sisley Cleansing Milk with Sage: I love Sisley's cleansing milks. They're so good. Creamy and hydrating.

Sisley Nutritive Lip Balm: This is my second pot gone. I just started my third. I love this as my night lip balm. It's a hero product nightly staple. I've used no other lip balm since starting this one. Review HERE.

EVE LOM Moisture Mask: I liked this hydrating gel cream style mask. No scent really and it was refreshing.

Klorane Shampoo with mango butter: I loved this. Hydrating without being heavy. Gave my hair a glossy sheen. I would consider buying a big one.

Brick Youthful Face Serum: I loved this lightweight facial oil. So much I bought a big one. More to come I promise.

Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL: This was better than I thought it was going to be. It was voluminous, not too glossy, not too dry.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara: I like this to some degree. It's voluminous. It's not one of those completely 'wow me' mascaras. I use it when I get samples but wouldn't buy a big one.

Natura Bisse Tensolift Neck Cream: This was nice. Hydrating and thicker. I'm sure it's super pricey so I doubt I would grab it, but it was nice.

Red Earth Hydrate Boosting Toner: This was a nice liquid water like hydrating toner. I would consider buying a big one.

Farmacy Green Clean: I liked this. I can see why lots of people like it. It works, it emulsifies and rinses clean. I like it, but like some others a bit more. I would use it if I had it, but not sure I would buy a big one.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara: This was terrible. I find all Marc Jacobs mascaras suck. Sorry for those who love him. I like his other stuff, just not the mascaras. It's clumpy and spidery. It just wasn't one I liked at all.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara: Love this mascara. Voluminous and nice. No clumps. I would buy a big one.

Caudalie Vine[Activ] Glow Activating Serum: This was nice. A light hydrating creamy serum.

Odacite Mint + Green Tea Mist: I liked this. Has a natural mint scent. I like the immortelle one better.

Biologique Recherche Creme Contour des Yeux VIP O2: I liked this. It wasn't as hydrating as I hoped it would be. It was nice. Not sure I want a big one. This was good for days, not nights. I might get it one day. I'm on the fence. It didn't blow me away but it was pretty good.

Bioderma Matricium: Another set of empty tubes. Love the liquid soother. Review HERE.

Chanel Blue Serum: This was OK. A slippery hydrating serum. I don't like the perfumed scent.

By Wishtrend Hours-long Moisturizing Gauze Sheet Mask: This was so hydrating. The gauze mask was weird for me, it slipped off my face a bit more than I liked but it was nice and hydrating.

dp HUE Cool Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner: This was OK. A bit too purple for me. Some of these are that nice light purple hue. This one is a really deep pigmented hue.

GLAMGLOW Waterburst Hydrated Glow Moisturizer: This is OK. A lighter gel cream style. I'm not a fan of their cake scent they put in all their products.

Sisley Restorative Body Cream: I loved this. This cream is so creamy luxe. It'll cost you, but it's lovely.

Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue Foundation 30 Beige: This was nice and light. A bit dry & matte for me. The color was too light as well for me.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum: I love this staple vitamin C serum. I used this for three years solid. I've only recently been branching out. I talked about it some HERE.

Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream: See above

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels: I love these. They're actually affordable eye masks. Review HERE.
